Comedian, novelist and television presenter, David Baddiel, will headline the first-ever Coverack Arts Festival next week to help raise funds for the ‘Save Lambeage’ campaign.
The popular celebrity will talk about his latest children’s book, Head Kid, with a chance for book signings.
Festival organisers promise ‘a packed few days of music, words and visual arts with events for all the family’ in aid of Lambeage Hall. The community hall based in Coverack requires £28,000 worth of structural repairs plus refurbishment.
A ‘Secret Artist’ sale will feature small donated originals from more than 130 artists, including local and internationally known painters Michael Porter, Glyn Macey, Gilly Johns and Stephanie Sandercock.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Cornish bands Stone Roots and The Boundless Brothers. A full program of events can be viewed at coverackartsfestival.co.uk.
The festival takes place at Lambeage Hall from Saturday 27 to Tuesday, 30 July.
