Stage call to aspiring young actors

The Gweek Players are looking for young people to be cast for three parts in a new play at Trebah Amphitheatre during May half term.

The Pirates of Trebah follows the adventures of two children in the 18th century who become entangled with a group of pirates who have lost their ship on the Helford River.

An open casting call has gone out for three youngsters to play the parts of Eustace, a bold, cheeky and thoughtless, though his heart is in the right place; Jennifer, his sister, sensible and cautious, but brave when she has to be; and Laity, a pirate apprentice and part-time farmer’s lad.

Auditions will take place on February 10 from 2pm to 4pm at Gweek Village Hall. Contact david.ivall@mypostoffice.co.uk for more information.
