Rescued foals to “thank” fans

EIGHT YOUNG Dartmoor foals rescued from “certain death” at the last minute by Bolenowe animal sanctuary are preparing to meet the public for the first time.

The Ruan Minor-based charity stepped in to save the ponies being shot after being alerted by another horse charity.

The foals will be the stars of a special public open day at the sanctuary from 10.30am to 3.30pm on December 10, with mince pies on offer to visitors.

A spokesperson for the sanctuary said: “If you can help in any way, either with a donation or by rehoming a pony, do please contact Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary either at, by phone on 01326 291272, or by post to Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary, Ruan Minor, Helston, TR12 7NA.”
