‘Rent’ the musical comes to town

HELSTON Theatre Company are gearing up to present a lively new production to audiences this month.

After months of preparation the team are almost ready to perform an interpretation of the Pulitzer Prize winning musical ‘Rent’.

Rehearsals are drawing to a close with the cast spending time perfecting lines, polishing songs and honing dance routines.

Paul Blaber, Helston Theatre Company chairman and director of Rent said: “This is a real ensemble piece and we’re so proud to be performing this rarely-seen musical to the people of Cornwall and we hope that as many people see our show as possible. The themes we deal with in the show are all being experienced by people in Helston and Cornwall, and we hope that audiences will leave both with their eyes opened and hearts warmed.”

The performance will take place at The Epworth Hall on April 25 to 29 with tickets available from helstontheatrecompany.co.uk or Gillian’s Larder in Meneage Street.
