Helston pub-goers can raise their glasses to the relaunch of a town centre establishment following a takeover by new owners.
The Bell Inn at Meneage Street is celebrating the start of a new chapter after being taken over by experienced publicans Simon and Lisa Pressland from Bedfordshire. The couple have spent several weeks revamping the premises and used their extensive catering knowledge to re-introduce a new food menu.
Simon said: “We have been in the trade for some years and fell in love with The Bell and Helston instantly and jumped at the chance to relocate and take on the pub. All the changes we have made have been really well received and it’s great to see people enjoying our new menu which focuses on traditional and simple food presented with precision and expertise.”
The pair have already received many positive reviews from customers, with many commenting on the smartened appearance of the popular pub.
Lisa added: “Although early days, it has been a hugely positive start after an exhausting few weeks getting ready for the opening as it needed a lot of attention cosmetically. Now we can get on with the fun work of hosting people in the new Bell Inn.”
