A popular plant nursery that opened one year ago is celebrating its first anniversary and is thanking customers for their support.
Wendron Plant Nursery offers a wide range of plants for green-fingered garden-lovers, along with a café offering Cornish cream teas, savoury lunches and cakes.
Children of all ages can visit the free-roaming donkeys and chickens at the site, and have fun at a recently opened small soft play area. Owners Ben and Kimberley Charity said: “We want to take a moment to thank everyone for their support and positive comments. We like to think that we have created a positive and educational place for young people and families, where they can spend a couple of hours playing and interacting with the animals, and if they have some lunch and buy a plant, then we are grateful for that.”
The flourishing business has attracted many positive comments online, with one visitor recently posting “We went up to get ideas what to do with our garden and came away with lots of advice, a plan on what to do and lots of gorgeous plants. Our children had a great time feeding the chickens and petting the two donkeys. The owners are really friendly and didn’t pressure us to buy anything. They really know what they’re doing. Can definitely recommend it here.”
Wendron Plant Nursery can be found on the Redruth road near the Wheal Dream.
