Outback Trading reopens as the Adventure begins again

There were celebrations in Helston last week when one of its flagship stores, Outback Trading was re-opened after a shock closure earlier this year.

Experienced retailers Ian and Carol Robinson’s company Trifid Ltd opened the store last Wednesday with a huge sale that has savings of up to 75%.

They have also restarted the website and will be incorporating it with their existing hugely successful sites teamkit.co.uk, refkit.co.uk and the specialist website whistleworld.co.uk

Ian said: “We were not actively looking to move into a retail shop but we are big fans of Helston and this was a great business with a strong name and reputation and the opportunity became too great to pass up.”

We are pleased to have acquired Outback Trading with excellent premises and first class staff and this gives us the opportunity to expand by developing the outdoor market and we can bring our own internet sports businesses into Helston, greatly increasing the range of Outdoor and Sports Clothing and Equipment.”

“Outback Trading supplies through the internet to customers all over the UK and with the addition of the Sporting goods, this should increase sales to a few million. We will expand even more into Europe and as Trifid ships to organisations and individuals worldwide, this will benefit the business.”

“Trifid’s customers include police forces, railways and navies worldwide and even sends British made whistles to China. Over the next few months the sporting goods will move to Helston and the internet will offer a wide range of goods you would expect in a quality store. Some specialist products normally only found on the internet will be available instore.”

“Internet companies offer highly competitive prices and we compete against them. Whether it be your high end technical items of functional family favourites, come and browse our increasing selection and discuss your requirements with our experienced staff.”
