An environmental group in Portheven is attempting to tackle the sticky problem of dog fouling by offering owners free emergency waste bags.
The recently formed Porthleven Environment Project has added 22 dog waste bag holders around the town to encourage dog owners to get rid of their pets’ waste.
Owners are reminded that they should always carry their own waste bags, yet can use the free bags should they forget. People can donate spare bags by filling an empty holder or alternatively report an empty holder to the town council on 01326 573154.
Porthleven Environment Project was formed to encourage members of the community to get involved in projects to enhance and celebrate the town’s environment and is part of Porthleven Town Council.
