Naval apprentices recognised at awards

Two personnel from RNAS Culdrose have received awards at a ceremony in Portsmouth.

Both individuals received Naval Service Apprenticeships Awards in recognition of exceptional achievements in the workplace.

Aircraft Engineering Technician (AET) Jason Metcalfe scooped the Apprentice Personal Achievement Award and AET Lucy Holt was successful in winning the Apprenticeship Champion Award.

The finalists were drawn from a large number of entries across the Royal Navy that were recognised with evidence of their commitment, contribution and success.

Lucy Holt said: “I was just doing my job. I really enjoy helping and supporting my peers, so it’s really flattering to be recognised in this way, and I am very proud of my achievement
