A choir group from Helston which has performed to sell-out audiences is celebrating its fifth birthday.
The Culdrose Military Wives Choir was set up in 2012 after founder members were inspired by the TV series The Choir. The group is linked to the naval base and operates out of the Culdrose Community Centre.
Choir members have performed at a wide range of venues including community festivals and concerts at the Hall for Cornwall.
Choir spokesperson Anna Oliver said: “Five years have passed so quickly, in a flurry of fun and laughter. When we celebrate this milestone, we also recognise the hours of work dedicated by the many committee and musical volunteers over the years. The choir wouldn’t be such a success without the work of those individuals, and we thank them all.”
The choir’s next performance is on June 17 at the International Sea Shanty Festival in Falmouth.
