Helston shows unity with terror victims

A HELSTON tattooist is offering thanks to the people who raised £1010 for the We Love Manchester emergency fund at an event in his studio.

John Howarth, owner of Hells Gates Tattoo Studio in Meneage Street, inked customers with a tattoo of a bee to show solidarity with the city following the recent terror attack in which 22 people died and more than 100 people were injured.

The bee has been a symbol of Manchester since the 19th century when busy mill workers were commonly compared to bees in their hives.

John said: “We are just trying to help in anyway we can and saw the Manchester Attack appeal on Facebook and that people were having the tattoo added and we wanted to show support for the people of Manchester.”
