Great fun had at charity Heart Beats Music festival

MUSIC lovers turned out in their droves to support a charity event organised by a former DJ with a rare heart condition.

Kay Harvey from Mullion was diagnosed with Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection in 2014 following a heart attack. Despite her condition, Kay remains upbeat and organised the Heart:Beats Festival which was held at The Blue Anchor in Helston.

Kay said: “Heart Beats Music Festival was so awesome, the feedback has been so heart-warming and made it worth all the hard work and stress. I am hugely grateful to everyone who has made donations, the festival has been a huge thing for me to organise but it was an overwhelming success.

“I am happy to say after the cost of our wristbands, we have raised £2.586”

Anyone wishing to donate can make a cheque payable to the British Heart Foundation and place in an envelope addressed to Kay and deliver to the BHF shop in Meneage Street.

All funds go to the BHF and the Cardiac Unit at Treliske Hosiptal.
