Garage owner’s 100-mile ride in memory of husband

A Helston garage owner has swapped cars for a bike and cycled 100 miles in memory of her husband.

Louise Dean of Castle Green Garage in Helston lost her husband, Ian, to cancer in 2012 and completed The Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 to raise money for Cancer Research.

She said: “I am so happy to have completed the ride. It was hard work but thoroughly enjoyable and for such a great cause. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me, and special thanks to Giant Helston for all their help and advice.”

Louise was accompanied on the ride by her friend Sue Evans who raised money for the Penhaligon’s Friends charity which supports bereaved children.
