Two friends who work at a builders’ merchants in Porthleven have decided to hang up their hard hats and cycle from John O’Groats in Scotland to Land’s End for charity.
Geoff Harry and Steve Dyer, who both work at RGB Building Supplies, are taking on the 1000-mile challenge to raise funds for RGB’s chosen charity Children’s Hospice South West.
Geoff said: “We know what’s ahead of us as we made this trip ten years ago! The 1000 miles plus, through Scotland, Wales and England finishing in Cornwall, is a tough challenge, especially at our ages, and we have been training hard all winter.
“We will be leaving John O’Groats on Sunday 13th May to cycle to Land’s End to mark our birthdays, my 60th and Steve’s 50th, and to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.”
