A series of fun and free events for all the family are planned for Helston’s Harvest Fair.
Entertainment starts at Helston’s Football Club on Saturday, September 2 with a pet show offering awards for the waggiest tail, best in show and the pooch that looks most like its owner.
Later in the day a carnival will gather at Tesco Superstore before a colourful array of floats are led through the town by Helston Town Band.
A horticulture and craft show will be held at the Old Cattle Market the following day showcasing entries of vegetables, flowers and handicrafts, along with baking and wine making.
Green-fingered gardeners will be hoping their efforts have paid off in the Helston in Bloom competition as judges award prizes and trophies.
Shops are encouraged to have a harvest-themed makeover as part of the celebrations with trophies for the best dressed window displays.
The Cornish Wrestling Middleweight and Under 16 Championships will also take place in the town’s Sunken Garden from 2pm on Sunday.
