‘Comedian’ Jim Davidson has hit out at a Cornish venue after he performed to his smallest crowd ever.
The controversial comic recently appeared at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth to a reported poor turnout of customers so took to Twitter with a foul-mouthed rant against the venue saying: “Just arrived at the theatre in Falmouth. Not got a clue. Doing the show with working lights. F*** this!!!!!people [sic] deserve better.”
Another tweet read: “There are people inthis [sic] building asking what I am doing here.”
He completed his tirade with: “Forgot to say it is the smallest crowd I’ve played to ever. My fault? Obviously. 1000 people tomorrow in Torquay. Maybe they advertised it!!!! “
Davidson is a required taste and his brand of ‘humour’ most likely does not connect with many millennials, yet he has a valid point: advertising increases awareness and the odds of success.
Dare I say the venue should contact The Helston Advertiser to promote future performances to a wider audience?
