More than 100 hardy festive swimmers are expected to brave the cold sea to celebrate a half-century of the traditional spectacle of Coverack’s Christmas Day Swim.
The event, which takes place in the harbour at 12.30pm on Christmas Day, is raising money for the St Keverne & Coverack branch of Cancer Research UK.
Everyone is welcome to take part in the chilly dip, which has previously attracted famous comedians David Baddiel and Russell Brand. In previous years swimmers and onlookers wore festive fancy dress for the event.
Participants can help raise funds for the charity by obtaining a sponsorship form by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting Coverack Village Stores.
