The countdown has begun to one of Helston’s biggest music festivals, which is now in its nineteenth year.
Helstonbury will see a heady mix of musical talent perform at The Blue Anchor Inn at Coinagehall Street from Thursday to Sunday.
The much-loved annual festival offers an eclectic line-up of bands over four days, including heavy rock/metal group Black Leaves of Envy, funk-pop band Stone Roots, funk band Shabby Chic, a Queen tribute band and The Good Old Fashioned Lover Boys.
Visitors can also enjoy the sounds of Helston School Jazz Orchestra, Culdrose Military Wives Choir, DJ Aldog + Friends, a Silent Disco plus vocalists on the Acapella Stage plus many more acts.
This year’s event has an environmentally friendly focus with reusable cups, recyclable wristbands and biodegradable glitter and is fronted by ‘Helstonbury Green Queen’, Holly Turton. Branded t-shirts are also made from 100% organic cotton and water-based inks.
