Comedy tour based on Cornwall’s greatest son

The story of Cornish engineer Richard Trevithick has been turned into a comedy and is touring Cornwall during the coming months.

Written by and starring Kernow King, “Trevithick!” is a biographical comedy based on the true story of the engineer who revolutionised the use of steam, much to the annoyance of his rivals. Industrial developments were rife with competition, accidents and death in 1800 Great Britain, but it was his passion that led to steam power being put on rails and roads.

Also starring alongside Kernow King is the actress Mary Woodvine who has starred in TV shows including Doc Martin, Casualty, Pie in the Sky, Heartbeat and Eastenders. The show will visit St Keverne Parish Hall on May 20 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available at
