Comedy gig for village defibrillator

Breage Social Club is set to welcome local comedian Johnny Cowling to the stage for an evening of comedy entertainment and to help raise funds for a home for a life-saving defibrillator in the village.

Described as a pinch of Jethro, a dab of Michael Barrymore, a spoonful of Tommy Cooper and a hunk of Elvis, his topics include the ever changing face of Cornwall, ladies appliances, Cornish family life, holiday makers and much more.

The fundraising event takes place on February 16 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12 and include a pasty supper and are available from the social club after 5pm or from Breage Post Office.

All profits from the event will go towards housing the defibrillator.
