Children’s novel adapted for the outdoor stage

A theatre company will perform an open-air show at a venue in Helston next week following the success of a previous adaptation.

Heartbreak Productions will be at The Stables in the Penrose Estate on Saturday September 3 performing children’s author David Walliams’ Ratburger.

The modern thriller blends dark reality and irreverent comedy for today’s children where the heroine, Zoe, has a love of animals and a dream of travelling the world. She copes with her disgusting neighbours, her recently unemployed dad, and the menacing Burt who is after Zoe and her pet rat.

The production follows 12-year-old Zoe’s journey as she takes on the revolting characters that have proved to be one of the hallmarks of David Walliams’ appeal. The performance takes place at 4pm.
