The Atlantic Inn at Porthleven is set to welcome an indie rock band from Newquay on Saturday.

The festive season officially started in Helston when the Christmas light switch-on marked the beginning of a series of festivities in the town.

The disco and party sounds of the ‘70s and ‘80s will feature at the Atlantic Inn at Porthleven from 9pm on Saturday.

Traditional Celtic music will get a festive makeover at a barn dance in Praa Sands next week.

A Christmas Craft and Produce Fair will help put people in a festive spirit at Porkellis Village Hall on Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
