Call for volunteers to join beach clean-ups

The Marine Conservation Society are calling out for volunteers to roll up their sleeves to help clean Gunwalloe Fishing Cove and Church Cove as part of the annual Great British Beach Clean.

This year many of the plastics removed from clean-up events will be sorted and recycled, giving them a second life as new products. Rigid plastic and cigarette stubs will be turned into shampoo bottles and advertising boards.

To join in the beach cleans at Fishing Cove on Saturday from 9am, or at Church Cove on Sunday from 2pm, register as a volunteer at mcsuk.org.
