Business park boost

An unused strip of land in Helston that has remained undeveloped for many years could soon be about to change.

Having long been rumoured to be a home to a range of businesses from B&Q to McDonalds, Helston Business Park at Clodgey Lane is now owned by MJL Cornwall Ltd.

Managing Director Matthew Lugg has ambitious plans to build two bespoke commercial buildings containing four employment units.

It is believed a tenant is already signed up for a 7,000 square foot unit while another is close to signing for the second 12,000 square foot building.

The identity of future tenants is a closely guarded secret and no doubt rumours will soon be flying around the town.

Hopefully the much-needed project will lead to employment for locals while complimenting existing businesses.

This development is great news for our town and I applaud those who have considered Helston as a viable option for investment.
