A pub in Helston which has been closed for several months has been reopened under new management – with a local couple taking charge.
Darren and Rebecca Morley have taken over at the helm of the Bell Inn on Meneage Street and are already working hard to attract both old and new customers through the doors.
The couple remember the pubs popular past and said: “The Bell was always an important institution in the town with regular live bands and a great atmosphere. Back then we never considered becoming the owners of the business but now are incredibly excited by the challenge of once again making the pub one of the most popular in town.”
They are planning to stay loyal to its rich history but will be putting their own stamp on the business including carrying out work on the kitchens to offer food in the future.
Live music has already been re-introduced with the well-loved Bobby’s Helmet playing to a huge crowd last weekend and Not The Beatles booked to appear next month.
After an uncertain period, the Bell Inn is once again being guided to a more secure future. You can check out any forthcoming events on their facebook page at www.facebook.com/thebellinnhelston.
