An animal sanctuary near the Lizard is calling out for volunteers to roll up their sleeves and help keep its café open to visitors.
Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary based near Ruan Minor desperately needs volunteers to help run its on-site café, which helps pay for the upkeep of rescued animals.
A spokesman for the charity said: “The café attracts many visitors through the Spring and Summer and helps to raise vital funds to pay for the upkeep of our rescued animals.”
The plea follows a call for help earlier this year, when staff where “struggling to cope” with stable repairs for its equine residents following weeks of bad weather.
The cafe, which is set to open every Sunday from May to October, serves a range of cakes, hot drinks and refreshments.
