What do Age UK, the Royal Voluntary Service, South West Water and the Monday Lunch Club have in common? Where could you speak to SmartEnergy GB, Cornwall’s Winter Wellness team and Electrical Safety First? Why will the Fire Service, Helston Age Concern and Kernow Commissioning Group be in Helston this week. Where can you go to meet friends, enjoy coffee and cake and get advice about how to make sure you have everything you need this winter? The answer to all of the above can be found at the second annual Health and Wellbeing Fair taking place on Friday 10am – 1pm at Helston Central Church. I’ve organised this event (along with a similar event on Saturday in Penzance) to bring together all of the above and others so that people living nearby can see what is available to help ensure we stay healthy, warm, safe, well fed and potentially reduce our household bills this winter..
Last year’s event proved to be a popular event and I’m pleased to bring these organisations under one roof once again. For businesses owners you can attend an exclusive drop-in event from 1 – 2pm on Friday at the same venue to meet with SmartEnergy GB to talk through the roll out of smart meters for small business saving you energy and benefitting from the latest smart meter technology. A further ‘Drop-In’ for business owners to raise general enquiries with me takes place at Hellys Tearoom on Friday 15th September from 8.30 – 10am. I’m interested to know what ideas you have for Government to make running your business easier and what issues the UK leaving membership of the EU presents to you and your business. In addition to these, and every autumn since 2014, I have hosted ‘Drop-In’ Events where anyone can come along and ask any question or raise any concern with me. These start on Saturday and take place in venues across the constituency including near to you right through to mid-November. The full list of these events will be available from the Helston Advertiser next week and on social media.
