Advertiser moves from strength to strength

I OFTEN feel that both myself and others spend too much time either reflecting on our past or planning our future, which can leave little time to enjoy the moment.

This week marks the Advertisers seventeenth anniversary since we started out and I am happy to unashamedly admit that the product we have today fills me with pride.

In recent weeks I have taken a step back in time to look at the Advertisers history and the first-ever edition that contained just 16 pages, and the only colour used was red. The simple edition was published once a month and contained recipes, jokes, film reviews, school diary dates, links to local events, general life articles and of course Hines Sight.

But rather than looking back I am more interested in what is happening today and feel happy that we are providing more of a service to our community than ever before. We now offer 40 to 48 pages every week that are jam packed full of local stories, event reviews, previews plus lots of information from local businesses and groups.

All of our content is now also available online and we continue to grow a strong social media presence.

Our aim is to provide you with a product you deserve and expect and we are always open to suggestions on ways to improve. But for today I hope you will join me in not only celebrating our proud past and exciting future, but most importantly – the present.

    It’s a pity that you cannot sort out the delivery of your “paper”. It’s never delivered where I live. Not a very good service for the advertisers.
